Hey all! Ya Roxie here, it's been a while I know.... I'm sorry! ;) Still alive and well though and the summer festivals and shows have been really fun so far!
My very first trip to the east coast was a blast a couple of weeks ago, Halifax is a beautiful city (I could totally live there) also for the fact that it has one of the BEST record stores I've ever come across, Taz Records. Their collection is unreal.... I'll be making regular trips from now on I think hehe :) The show in St. John was really fun and I got to sit in with Colin James and his band!! I have some pictures of it and will post them as soon as I can get my computer out of the shop.... Ah technology... ya gotta love it!
Mariposa before that was a wonderful experience, the site sitting on the edge of a beautiful lake was a treat (play, go swimming, play, go swimming... who could ask for a better job??) Great times.... Ottawa, Mont-Tremblant.... awesome!
OH! In other news, I'll be visiting folks out west (Alberta and BC) this coming SEPTEMBER!! I'm thrilled, can't wait to get out there and see that end of the country haha! Dates are on the tour page now!

Hi everybody!!
Oh my, I can't believe it's been a month since my last newsletter already! I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out to our cd release parties in Toronto and Wakefield, to celebrate with us and show their support (and um… buy the new record haha!) Both nights were a tremendous success and I couldn't have been more thrilled to spend these two very special evenings in your company! Once again, THANK YOU!
To our friends in Montreal, tune in to Couleur Jazz 91.9FM to win tickets to our April 20th concert at the Savoy (59 St-Catherine East). It's the only way to get them! Good luck!!

Jammin' Downtown, a CBC special presentation recorded January 2005 in Ottawa and featuring Sarah Slean among other Canadian talent, is receiving it's first nation-wide broadcast April 18th at 11:25pm, immediately following the National This is my first ever performance of La Merveille which I had only written a couple weeks before the show was taped!

Just settling into my new apartment in Toronto and enjoying every minute of it! What an exciting city this is!
Even more exciting though is the release of my new CD "The Way it Feels" NEXT WEEK! On March 7th the album will be hitting stores all over Canada, keep an eye out for it! Here's where you can come celebrate the release of the album with us!...

CD RELEASE POSTPONED!! March 7 is now the official release date for my new album The Way it Feels, a month from it's original February 7 release. Sit tight, it's coming!
